On Sunday 5 July, after the final Junior Church of the school year, we gathered in Beaumont Park for the annual family picnic. The weather looked ominous after the service but held off for the whole afternoon.
The feast was spectacular, including jewelled rice, kebabs and other Middle Eastern delicacies, and a ham and cheese sandwich that was passed round in the spirit of Christian brotherhood. Games were dominated by boules, made more interesting by the uneven green, along with beanbags and bubble-blowing. Thank you to Melody and the Junior Church team for organising it.
